12/15/08 by Hope from Vancouver, WA Not for the high-arched beginner....
Rating: 3 These were my first pair of pointe shoes. I liked the box that made my feet look narrower and the gel pad in the bottom of the shoes were a life (or toe) saver. The only real problem was the shank. I never really fully broke them in, even though I have crazy-high arches. I guess the good thing was I never "went over" or "popped out" but they were still disappointing.
12/13/08 by Smiley Dance from Washington Good so far...
Rating: 4 I will give these 4 stars because demi-pointe is difficult (the box seems too long) and I am having trouble getting over them (but that could just be my problem). However, these shoes were literally the only ones that fit me. I have extremely wide feet, and no other shoe let me touch the end of the box. Until I find a better shoe, these have worked well. (I have finally made these break in more Hooray!)
11/15/08 by Anonymous Good pointe shoes!
Rating: 5 These are my first pair of pointe shoes and I love them! The picture on this website does not do them justice. I have strong feet so after 2 and a half months I need new shoes. Bloch Sonata are beautiful and I would buy them again.
11/13/08 by Tori from Alabama Rating: 1 These were my first pair and the were ok. When I went for my second pair, I got these again but I really didn't want to. They do not shape to your foot at all!!! I would not get them.
11/06/08 by Maggie Pretty but don't last
Rating: 3 This shoe is a wonderful performance shoe because it is so very pretty and it lets you get on top of the box. I have a very wide foot that tapers a lot at the heel, and this shoe was flattering. It feels lighter than any other shoes I've had.
However, this shoe disappointingly broke within two days of my buying it. So, if you are someone who is on pointe everyday, I do not recommend this shoe.
10/27/08 by Clare from Wisconsin Rating: 5 I love these shoes!!! I don't know why people say they're so hard to break-in, I didn't have any problem. I would recommend them for anyone, from beginner to pro!
10/26/08 by Hannah from Pittsburgh, PA Rating: 4 I love these shoes. I break-in my pointe shoes very slowly but with these, I managed to break them in within 3 weeks. They weren't that hard for me to break-in, but they did become dead in 3 weeks. That might just be me though. Overall, I would definitely buy them again =]
10/09/08 by Laura from Monroe, MI They're OK.
Rating: 3 I don't want to say I don't like the shoes, but, they're not my favorite. The box is way too high and WAY too hard! I cannot break them in! They're fairly comfortable shoes, but I wouldn't buy them again.
08/07/08 by bullarinah12345 It's alright....
Rating: 4 First of all, these shoes are comfortable and easy to turn with. I love the fact that it's hard to break-in because it would make your feet stronger by letting your feet naturally break-in the shoe. This is the second Bloch I used after my Axiom and I prefer this better. It makes my arch look gorgeous and it makes my foot look thinner. I really recommend this shoe for those with natural arches and for those who wish to have stronger feet and noticeable arch :)
06/13/08 by Jessica from New Mexico Alright...
Rating: 4 First of all, they aren't white like the pic. They're more of a euro pink-ish color. I have narrow-medium feet and the box in this shoe fits great with a "C" width. I also have long toes and the vamp is fairly long and I have no problems with it. The profile of the box is soooo high though. Even after I got these broken in, the box still hasn't flattened out much. The platform is wide and easy to balance on, and especially good for turns. These shoes look good on low arches as well as high and the 3/4 shank is really great. The only problem I really have is how darn hard they are! They took soooo long to break-in and they're still hard. I went from Capezio to Bloch and I was surprised as to how hard they were. Yes, I know Capezio shoes are soft but I think Bloch shoes are definitely one of the harder brands. The little liner inside the shoe came unglued and started to bunch up under my foot while I was dancing so I cut it out. Now, the bare shank gives me blisters on the bottom of my foot. This didn't happen to my friends so it might have been a flaw.
06/10/08 by Chelsea from Pittsburgh, PA Not the same color
Rating: 4 I used them in my pre-pointe class (I was one of the few that actually got to use pointe shoes, yay!), and they're okay, but hard to break-in. They are also not the same color as the ones in the picture, they are more peachy, but it is still a beautiful color. The cushioning on the bottom helps a little too.
06/03/08 by Natasha from Philippines These were OK
Rating: 3 I found that these shoes aren't the ones for me. I have narrow, tapered feet with long toes. And the vamp was too short. And I bought the wrong width (I bought C when I should have bought B) but that was my fault. These didn't really show off my arch a lot. So I just found this shoe OK. I didn't feel pain in them which is the good side. And the color was very pretty too. But this wasn't the right shoe for me.
05/26/08 by Lynda from California Good shoe - rating 4
Rating: 4 I am on my first pair of these. I am alternating them with both the Serenade and Suprima models. All three of these shoes are made on the same last. The Serenade is more square, the Suprima more tapered and the Sonata is somewhere in the middle, with a shorter box. All the heels are narrow, providing a good fit at the back of the shoe. All the boxes are too big for me, requiring box liners and gel pads. The three models also use the same paste, so they all break-in at about the same rate. The Sonata has better box control for my average length toes; I did have to alcohol the satin to stretch it around the bunions. This shoe provides support back by the start of the heel, which is new for me, but which helps me to stay off the metatarsal joints. My joints at age 60 don't take the pressure as well as they used to! I run my shoes in a 4 to 6 shoe rotation which extends the life of the shoes, as well as coating them regularly with polyurathane. On average, using them in 6 classes a week, a series in rotation will last me about 6 months. That way I can break them in at different times, so I always have a new pair and at least 2 that are well broken in. These shoes turn better for me than the more square models and bend fairly well at half toe, although the Suprimas have the edge there. They bend right away.
05/17/08 by Jessica from Las Cruces, NM Good for me...
Rating: 5 These shoes were good for me because they really helped me to get stronger on pointe. I had Capezios before these. In case you didn't know, Capezios are really soft. My Sonatas helped me to work my feet more because the shank is so hard. At first when you get them they are hard as a rock!! But after you break them in you will love them, trust me! But on the other hand, my friend got these shoes and they just fell apart on her. Bloch shoes aren't hand made so you can't depend on them being of a very high quality. Maybe hers were just a bad pair of shoes. I don't know but be careful of how you treat your Sonatas!
05/10/08 by Joanna from Maryland Hated at first, then liked, then hated
Rating: 2 These were my first pair. The color is lovely. The very slightly tapered tip is perfect for my feet, they fit me very well (medium arches, wide, slightly tapered toes, narrow heel). But as others have said, they are nearly impossible to break-in well because of the way they are meant to be danced in. All the support is focused on the back of your arch, not the front where I like it to be. They are extremely difficult to break-in to my liking and even when they are, it is difficult to get over on pointe, especially in second position. Once broken in sufficiently, I also had the problem of improper foot placement while en pointe. Instead of my ankle and toe facing flat/straight en pointe, all the weight was focused on the are of my big toe. This can become very painful and is detrimental to the bones in your ankles. An okay pointe shoe, but not one I would buy again, despite the gorgeous color, box shape, and look.
04/18/08 by Jen Not Good for Me
Rating: 4 I gave these 4 stars because they were very comfortable (with toe pads and a little lambswool). But I could barely get over in first position and not at all in second- even after they broke-in completely. I just got Gaynor Mindens and can get over so much better. So even though the wide platform is supposed to help you balance, it doesn't do much good if you can't get over.
04/15/08 by Morgan from Wisconsin Great!
Rating: 4 I love this shoe! It works well for me. It is hard at first to break them in but once they are, they're great. For me personally, they don't last long, but that may be just my foot and how much I dance in them. I would recommend this shoe, but not for beginners.
04/02/08 by Chel-c What A Waste!
Rating: 1 I hated these shoes! They just wouldn't break-in! I tried everything, even went in an hour before and after classes in an attempt to break in these puppies, but nothing worked. I grew out of them before I could ever get them fully broken in. I would not recommend these shoes for beginners or people with a high arch. A couple of the others girls at the studio had them and they were disappointed too.
03/10/08 by Zandunga from New Mexico Rating: 4 I love these shoes but because the shank is so hard it is hard to get on your pointe. It takes a long time to break them in. After I broke mine in, they worked for a short time then I could feel the floor too much and my arches started to hurt. I would recommend this shoe but not to beginners.
12/08/07 by Tasha from Philippines They're OK...
Rating: 3 The Sonata isn't a great shoe for my feet. The color was sooo nice when I bought it though! Anyways, I wouldn't recommend getting the shoe 3 times smaller, you should get it 2 1/2 sizes smaller. I have an average arch but with these shoes, it makes my arch even less visible.
11/19/07 by Anonymous Don't Buy... This is why
Rating: 1 I hate these shoes. They do not have a good arch no matter how good your feet are and you will never go over your box. I think it is a waste of money. Buy a better shoe. Terrible for beginners.
11/07/07 by Dancinqueen93 Rating: 5 I love these pointe shoes! I used to wear Freed and my feet broke them down too quickly. Every week I had a new pair of pointe shoes. Then my dance teacher recommended these ones and I fell in love. The box stays strong, but the satin wears away. I have learned to cut the satin on the tip and sew around the edges, that helps a lot. The arches are strong, but I like the arches to be dead. No matter what, I love these shoes!
11/05/07 by April from Bend, OR Good for beginners
Rating: 3 I had these shoes as my first pair about 5 years ago and I decided to get them again because I loved them, but now they are terrible! It takes a very long time to break-in and the process is very painful. It's not good if you're an advanced dancer. They are much easier for beginning pointe steps not advanced.
10/19/07 by Q8Dance Rating: 3 Took a long time to break- in, even with strong arches. And once broken in, the toe wore really fast and I could feel the floor WAY too much. Found the toe platform to be rather bulky. Think these shoes would suit a beginner trying to strengthen their arches!
10/01/07 by cute_company_girl1234 from Michigan Worst shoes you could ever buy!!!
Rating: 1 I got these as my second pair of pointe shoes, because I thought they were "prettier" than my Sansha recitals. These were without doubt the worst shoes I've ever had!!! I tried them since I have very narrow feet, but that was a mistake! These shoes were extremely difficult to break- in, and were extremely painful. I thought the nail was the problem, so I tried to remove it, but it never came out, and left an unattractive scar on my finger! These shoes actually made me fall in everyone of my classes, resulting in a sprained ankle literally every week!!!
I used to be one of the best dancers in my class, until I got these! They completely made me lose almost all of my self confidence, not to mention the respect of my classmates. Thanks to these shoes, I now have severely weak ankles. Do NOT waste your TIME, MONEY, AND REPUTATION on these shoes!!! If you want good dependable pointe shoes, buy Sanshas, NOT THESE!!!
09/22/07 by Calie Rating: 5 I am currently dancing in these and I have a very narrow heel and somewhat wide/tapered toes. I have really low arches and I decided to cut out part of the shank. Cutting it mid way, and left half the shank for my toes for support. It helped so much and I am excited to dance more in these. I doubt these will last till nutcracker season but I can always order more. Even though the shank was really difficult to cut out, because Bloch decided to fit this shoe with a double shank =P Eww, but well worth it because I can get over my shoes and it fits a lot better because the shank is fitted to my foot.
09/02/07 by Anonymous Attractive but painful
Rating: 3 I was actually fitted for these shoes and while they were the best at making my feet look nice, as well as accenting my arches, I didn't realize until I got home and really started to attempt dancing in them, that they were the most painful pointe shoes I've ever started out with. Granted, pointe shoes should be somewhat painful, but I am having a real tough time breaking these in. They are near impossible to demi pointe in! The plus side is they are gorgeous (this picture doesn't do them justice) and they will make my feet stronger that's for sure.
08/29/07 by Ballet girl from Wisconsin O.K
Rating: 2 These shoes are not for me. I have a very low arch and when I go up en pointe, the arch under the heel doesn't work well for me. The box also gets way too soft way too quick. I would not get these.
08/03/07 by Gabby from Florida I love these shoes!
Rating: 5 I have medium sized, tapered toes, medium width, fairly strong feet, and good arches. These shoes worked very well for me. They are easy to get on top of the box, and are stable when balancing. These shoes broke in well, and lasted me a good while. Plus, they are COMFORTABLE! (For pointe shoes, that is) :)
I wear size 7.5 street shoe, and the size I purchased in Sonatas was 4.5D. However, when I get them again, I think I'll go for C width, because D was a just a tad bit too wide. Hope this helps!
07/31/07 by Caroline from Corpus Christi TX Wow!!!
Rating: 4 My first pointe shoe and I LOVE it. I have low, weak arches. I'm 10 years old and love to dance en pointe. They are hard to break-in,
overall, GREAT SHOES!
07/19/07 by Elise from Illinois Love them.
Rating: 5 I think I have found my match when it comes to the right shoe. Sonatas are really great shoes that break in well and last a fair amount of time. They mold to my feet wonderfully and are simply a comfortable shoe. I like them so much that I'm quite scared to try a different pointe shoe because these Blochs just fit and move well.
06/30/07 by Iloveblochshoes Rating: 5 I've had these shoes for 3 out of the 4 years I've been on pointe and I LOVE them. I don't have a super good arch in my foot so it's harder for me to get over, but these shoes made it possible for me, and they've actually improved my arch. Also, my toes get sore very easily and the extra cushion in the bottom of the shoe is REALLY nice. I absolutely love these shoes, though I know they aren't for everyone.
06/20/07 by bachipmunk from Colorado Rating: 4 I've been on pointe for 2.5 years now, and this pair I got in Nov. was the first pair that ever gave me blisters. But, I tend to sink back in my shoes a lot, and these helped me stay over my feet. Plus, the extra cushioning in the toes makes them more comfy than any other type of shoe I had been in before.
06/16/07 by Sarah Trent from Colorado Rating: 1 These shoes are meant for really archy feet. Other wise, no one can mount them.
06/09/07 by Natasha They seem nice to me . . .
Rating: 5 If you didn't know, Sonata is actually a mix of Bloch Serenade and Bloch Suprima. Sonata is very decent, but they look OK on my feet, so what! They are comfy, and they are my first pair. I'm 12 yrs. old and my Sonata is size 5. My feet are very narrow and tapered,my toes are long, and my heel is very slender. People suggest me to get 'Bloch Axiom' for my second pair, since it really goes well with narrow feet like mine. Sonatas seem very nice, it makes my arch pretty, and the color ' euro pink satin' is really pretty! To me, this is a WINNER! My next pair will be Bloch Suprima . . .
06/02/07 by Anonymous from Florida Okay
Rating: 4 These shoes were okay for me. I have pretty wide feet, okay arches, but more towards the flat foot side. The biggest problem for me was that the vamp was too high! (I have medium/short toes.) However, they really felt supportive (before being broken in) on the sides of the box. In that aspect, they were great. Also, they come with a cool foam tip on the inside. It made my feet feel so much better after long rehearsals than usual! Over all, they were okay. Just not for me.
06/01/07 by Anonymous Good at first but then really BAD!!!
Rating: 3 NOT the best shoe. I have gone through 3 or 4 pairs of these shoes. I have gone through Capezio Glisses and others too, nd have still not found my perfect pointe shoe. At first these pointe shoes are GREAT, but then they get bulky and are not good at all because the fabric inside gets all bunched up and that really hurts!!! These shoes are really hard to break into and when you break into them, the front part of the shoe gets really soft, which makes it really painful to do combinations on pointe. Once I broke them in, it only lasted one class being perfect as I wanted them, but didn't like them at all in the next classes. I have low arches, a wide ball and narrow heel, and I've always had a problem with bruised toenails.I also have a problem getting up on the whole box of the shoe and these shoes make you fall back. All my teachers have said that they don't look good on my feet. I HIGHLY DON'T recommend this shoe to someone with feet like mine and doesn't have really good arches. If you want to love pointe then don't buy these shoes. Many of the reviews that I have read say that you should get Gamba 97 so that's what my next pair of pointe shoes will be.
05/12/07 by Ballet gal Worst ever!
Rating: 1 These pointe shoes are not good! No matter how hard I lift up out of the shoe, my feet slide down. And then when I go off pointe, my foot slides out of the box. When that happens, over and over again, I get blisters( and I hate blisters). The pain gets so painful, it's very hard to dance well. WORST pointe shoes I EVER had! They are also very hard to break-in.
04/19/07 by Athena from Kihei, HI Never again.
Rating: 2 I started pointe three years ago, and these shoes were my first. I thought it was natural; the shoes would hurt my feet so much and I hoped I'd get used to it. The box died first, and the shank fallowed. My third pair of shoes, I got Chacotts instead and I'm in love with those. I have narrow heels, medium width feet, and generally, the same length toes. If you're the same way; I recommend Chacotts.
04/17/07 by Dancer from Maryland Great
Rating: 5 These pointe shoes helped me a lot. This is the second kind of pointe shoe I have tried and they are so much better than my first ones. I have really wide feet and these shoes aren't squishing my feet. Very comfortable. They are also nice for turning and very durable.
04/06/07 by Anna from Washington, DC OK
Rating: 4 These were my first pair of pointe shoes. They really hurt at first and I thought that was natural. But every time I got a new pair, they were hard to break-in and rubbed against my feet so much, especially hurting my big toe. They are great for turning, but when the demi-point breaks in, the box is still completely hard. But when I switched to the Chacotts, they now feel so soft and bendy, which will definitely take me some time to get used to.
02/24/07 by Cassie from North Carolina Rating: 5 I love these shoes. These were my first pair and I have tried others, but always come back to these. I even tried the new Sonatas and I hate them. They are nothing like these. The Sonatas have a nice supportive box for my long toes. Be careful: The nails fall out when they die and can cause quite a problem. But they are great for converting into soft shoes. I highly recommend these!
02/14/07 by Dancing Jackie from Boston, MA Best for beginners
Rating: 5 I have been on pointe for about 5 months now. The foam at the tip gives a lot of support and I could go into demi-pointe very easily! I use feather lites by Eurotard with this shoe.
02/08/07 by Dana Rating: 1 Awful shoes. They died in 3 hours, even though I had these as an earlier pair of pointe shoes, so I was fairly inexperienced. They also looked horrible on my feet and were very uncomfortable.
01/10/07 by Anonymous from Idaho Rating: 3 These were my first pair, so I don't have much to compare them to, but they were really uncomfortable on flat and got soft really fast.
01/07/07 by Eva from Chicago, IL Rating: 2 I tried these shoes since I heard that they have a narrow heel. I have very narrow, thin feet. The shoe was too wide and you could see the bagging on the sides. The box was way too high and when I flattened it out, it was still too high. The box is really short and doesn't have great wing support. Otherwise, it is a pretty shoe.
12/31/06 by Alexa from New Hampshire Rating: 2 These were my second pointe shoes, and were a lot more supportive than my previous ones (Sanshas). They look good when you're on pointe, however, when you're not, they're very uncomfortable (even with my narrow feet and tapered toes). It's also very hard to roll onto pointe in these shoes. Overall, I was not a fan, but if you have very strong feet and are willing to put a lot of time into breaking them in, then go for it.
12/17/06 by Crystal from California Really hard to break in
Rating: 3 I generally don't like these shoes because it's hard to break into. If you have a poor arch, I don't recommend this shoe, but Gamba 97!
12/08/06 by Anonymous from Virginia Rating: 2 I got these shoes in my first year of pointe, not knowing any better. After a few weeks, my teacher noticed that the arches were bad on anyone in my class that had Bloch shoes. They also rub on your toes. But the good thing about these shoes is, you feel the floor and the padded end saves your feet.
12/07/06 by Gina from Corpus Christi, TX Rating: 2 I own a pair and I liked them at first but I did get some tendonitis when breaking them in (which I had never had before) and now I am getting pain in my pinky toes (they feel crushed). The shank also digs into the bottom of my heel sometimes. However, they are quiet shoes and they feel great when on pointe (and only when you're on pointe).
10/27/06 by Neka from Georgia Wonderful!!!
Rating: 5 The pad of foam at the tip of the box really saves my toes. I get blisters on the tips of my toes and the pad really helped. I would suggest quartershanking them before wearing. When I first wore them without breaking them in or anything, I couldn't get over my pointe, but with the quartershanking, that helped everything. They are great for turning! I love these shoes and they make my feet look nice!
10/24/06 by Ballerinababe ...
Rating: 2 They made my feet look really bad, they were okay for the first few pairs, and then you wear them out really fast and easily... OK for beginners, but then not.
09/10/06 by Emily Rating: 4 These are terrific! Only problem is, I've had them about 3 weeks, they still haven't "molded" to my arches. I have very high and strong arches, but these make my feet look beautiful. I love them so much that I am wearing them RIGHT NOW :-)
08/30/06 by She who danced the night away from Washington Great for high arches high instep
Rating: 4 Hey this is my 1st pointe shoe and I like it A LOT! The only problem is, it is really hard to break in...but I love it. It feels great on my arches.
08/21/06 by Caitlin from Kansas Watch out high arches!
Rating: 3 I have very high arches, and they are relatively strong, and I like to feel the floor in my box. These are not the shoes for me. They flatter your foot, but they tend to take a long time to break in and suddenly go flat. The toe is also slightly rounded, which is attractive, but makes it difficult to balance.
08/14/06 by Anonymous Rating: 3 These were my first pair of pointe shoes and at first I thought they were good. But then, I would work to break them in but it was really hard. I don't have a very good arch so they were not the right shoe for me. I will not buy them again.
07/16/06 by Holly Rating: 3 These were my very first pair of pointe shoes, and they seemed good at the time, but that was because I didn't know any better. I have a moderatly high arch, and these shoes only really last me a month or so, and at first they seem hard to break in, but like as soon as they are broken in, they die. I had a lot of pain in these shoes, because the box isn't very hard....so overall these shoes are a pretty good shoe, but they don't last long.
07/11/06 by Ally Okay...
Rating: 2 The shoes were pretty and all but hard to break into and seemed very boxy for me. On pointe they seemed like any shoe. They are nice but I would look into other brands first.
07/04/06 by Leslie Bulky and Blocky
Rating: 2 When I began doing Pointe, I used Sonatas. They were helpful in getting me used to the Pointe experience. But after almost less than a year of training, I began to wear them out very quickly, and when I would do floor work away from the barre I felt very "boxed in" and extremely uncomfortable in the boxes, which never fully broke in properly.
Finally I switched to Freeds, which I have been using ever since.
Sonatas are not worth it.
06/04/06 by Clara Rating: 5 I love these shoes!
I have tried lots of other pairs and they all break in a week or two, and these ones last way longer! I recommend these to dancers who tend to break shoes in quickly! They also make turning really easy for me!
05/25/06 by Roxanne Love
Rating: 5 Great shoes!! I've used them for four years now and they really suit my feet. I've got a medium arch and these shoes really accentuate my arch. They're also really light, easy to break in and don't wear out quickly like some brands. Also, the Sonatas are fairly quiet. I wouldn't use another shoe if you paid me.
05/20/06 by Kaileigh Not my favorite!
Rating: 1 I really disliked these shoes. My dance teacher keeps on telling me to wear them because in all the other shoes I have tried, the shank has broken and these don't break. They are extremely hard to break in and they don' t compliment your feet unless you have an unbelievably high arch. The nail popped out and that's the only way some arch could show. I do not recommend these shoes at all!
05/08/06 by Anonymous Not worth the time!
Rating: 1 My teacher hated my first type of shoe, and told me to get these. To make her happy, I did. I regretted it. In fact, I never broke them in, simply because I didn't like them. They were clunky, and gave my feet a terrible profile, something that never helps a dancer's self-esteem on pointe. I would say that if you have extremely strong feet, then try them. Otherwise...no.
05/05/06 by Britta So-So Shoes
Rating: 2 True, this shoe is quite comfortable, but I find that the shank bends too far up on the foot. This I have found to be a hindrance when I have to roll up on to pointe. I have a very high arch so I have not had a problem with the breaking in part of this shoe.
04/26/06 by Anonymous Rating: 1 This shoe is the worst I've had yet. The shoes made my arch look weird, it's takes a long time to break in, and it's really blocky/bulky.
04/23/06 by Monai359 Perfect Shoe
Rating: 5 I have been dancing on pointe for four years and could never find the perfect shoe. When I found these shoes I swore I'd never wear anything but Bloch. I am so excited to find a shoe for someone who has narrow ankles and wide feet. I would recommend these to anyone who would like to fall back in love with pointework.
04/20/06 by Bryn from Boston Love these shoes
Rating: 5 I have low arches, a wide ball and narrow heel, and I've always had a problem with bruised toenails. These shoes are wonderful. I injured my ankle a while ago, and the 3/4 shank really supports and takes the pressure off my ankle. It's so easy to get over the box in these shoes, and they last.
04/17/06 by Karla from California Don' t last as long as the Serenade
Rating: 4 These shoes are very comfortable and I loved them at the beginning. But then, after 4 or 5 classes, I couldn't stand pointe classes with them and were no longer comfortable, making my feet look ugly. I guess they got too soft for me (really soft!). Once I broke them in, it only lasted one class being perfect as I wanted them, but didn't like them at all in the next classes. I still like them and would use them, if they were really cheap! That is why I'm going to stick with the Serenade, because they last as long as I want for my money.
04/16/06 by alli Really nice
Rating: 5 These shoes are incredibly comfortable. Pointe isn't that painful for me normally, but with these shoes, class doesn't hurt at all. They do take a while to break in, but they also last a long time. A really good shoe for beginners too.

Rating: 5 I can't believe how comfortable these shoes are. I have tried Capezio and Grisko and these are the best. I usually feel pain on my big toe because of my tapered toes, but these are the best and look great too!

04/06/06 by Boriqua Ballerina from Albuquerque, NM Rating: 5 I absolutely love these shoes. They are so light! I've been dancing on pointe for almost a year and a half and when I tried the Sonatas on, I then realized what pointe shoes were really supposed to feel like. I have a hard time finding shoes because I have long toes, a narrow heel, a wide ball, and a high instep. I would definitely recommend this shoe to anyone whose feet are like mine.

Rating: 5 I own a pair of Sonatas and I absolutely love them. I get on to the box every time and the shoes are very comfortable. I love to do pointe work now, because my feet don't kill me. The Sonatas are great pointe shoes!

Rating: 5 A really good pointe shoe; makes your feet look nice. Make sure you break them in and quarter shank them!
