12/30/08 by Bunhead If there were a zero I'd give it
Rating: 1 These are the worst pointe shoes on the face of the PLANET! I never used to get blisters even in pointes! When I got them, my teacher already doubted them. I gave them a chance 'cause you know, he's a guy. Chances are he's prejudiced because Bloch tends to have a small size. I gave them a chance. I got these the week before the show and never used them for the show or even after the show. I went back to my old broken shoes which support me much better even if broken! Ugh!!! A waste of cash is what this is!
12/05/08 by Christina from Rocklin Very nice
Rating: 5 I bought these shoes for a character part in a play, and they're very nice. I didn't do any actual pointe work, but I did play around in them, and they held up very nicely. Plus the price isn't totally ridiculous.
12/01/08 by Anna from Texas Great!
Rating: 5 This is a very nice shoe! It takes a while to break them in, but after you do they are absolutely perfect! So far they have been my favorite shoe I've ever worn, but I'm about to try Bloch Alphas. They definitely deserve 5 stars!
11/19/08 by A Pointe Dancer from California Not so great
Rating: 1 I got these as my first pair of pointe shoes, and they were good for a year, but after that, they were awful. My left foot never went up onto full pointe (EVER!), and they broke far too fast. I had them almost 3 years, and found out when I got fitted for a new pair that they had been broken for quite some time. They also don't form to your foot, so if you have a lower arch, your foot looks horrible. I would recommend Sonatas.
11/16/08 by Anonymous Rating: 3 The reason that I picked 3 is because every time I get the ribbon sewed on to the shoe, it SNAPS! We had to sew it 3 TIMES and we thought we had it but then my dance teacher said they were sewed on wrong. It's not the shoes fault but it is the ribbons...
11/10/08 by Anonymous Great!
Rating: 5 These shoes are great for beginners. I got these last year when I started pointe and they were the best to start off with, they flex great. I highly recommend these for new students but not for more advanced. I now have Grishko's and they're great but I do miss my Bloch's ;(
11/08/08 by Happy Feet Rating: 4 These shoes are very nice! If you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced dancer, you will like these shoes. They are VERY supportive and have a very large platform, great for balancing! Also, if you are learning to hop on pointe, these shoes are very sturdy! However, as seen in the picture, the front of the shoe and the box do not bend like the shape of your foot, but rather stay straight and perpendicular to the floor. Arches look great with the proper breaking in! Once they are broken in, it is really easy to run/walk on demi-pointe! Great buy----cheap too!
11/03/08 by Dana Awful!
Rating: 2 I've had these shoes for 5 months and they hurt really bad. The satin is already ripping and they are squeaky. They are also way too hard! My left foot can never get over the box! Cheap shoes.
11/01/08 by Lilly from Pennsylvania Best!
Rating: 5 I just joined my pre-pointe class and after 1 month, I got permission to get pointes. When I got these I LOVED THEM! I do not have a really high arch but I have a medium and this really helped me. My friend is in the advanced class and she told me to get these and they rocked! I did not hear a lot of sound like you people said. I did not make noise! THANKS KELS!
10/12/08 by Sophia from Georgia Best ever
Rating: 5 These are my very first pair and I can't feel a thing. It took me about a day to break into them. They last a very long time!
10/11/08 by Karlyn from Oklahoma Awesome shoes for intermediate dancers
Rating: 5 I've been on pointe for 5 years now, and have tried many different brands and styles of pointe shoes. I still had not found "my" shoes. However, I just got these shoes yesterday and they fit perfectly! Although I have a rather wide and thick foot, I only had to get a D in width in these shoes. Other pointe shoes I've had looked really boxy and square, but these give me a nice arch, and make my foot look slimmer. Great price too!
09/27/08 by Pauline from SoCal Love them
Rating: 5 I'm a beginner en pointe and these are my first pair of pointe shoes. I only use lambs wool as paddings. There's no pain :) its very comfortable. Buy them and fall in love with them :)
All my classmates were jealous of me because of the soft shank and the cheap price. They tried it on and asked me to trade with them and I was like no...
09/05/08 by Maddie from Silver City, NM Rating: 4 This was my first pair of pointe shoes, and they are wonderful for beginners. They break-in fairly easily. I highly recommend them to those starting pointe.
08/30/08 by Meaghan from Louisiana Fabulous shoes
Rating: 5 These are great shoes, especially if you're a beginner and if you have a high arch.
08/26/08 by Pointy girl from California Ouch
Rating: 2 This box hurts my toes! It's too hard. My toes aren't flat so that makes a difference. My friend wears out her shoes really quickly and she loves these because they don't die too fast. If you have toes like me, don't get these.
08/13/08 by Pauline from New York City Rating: 5 First thing I have to say is: wow! I mean, these shoes are very good. I have been en pointe for like a year and I have used these shoes for half a year. My old pointe shoes gets worn out very easily. These seem to be lasting forever, because I have ballet class five times a week and two hours en pointe for each class! Tip: It is a great match with Bloch's Elastorib. Try them and you'll love it!
07/31/08 by Rachel from Los Angeles, CA Love these shoes!
Rating: 5 I absolutely love these shoes! I wear a US women's street size 9, I have really long toes and a VERY high arch-and these fit perfect. I love the broad platform-good for balancing.
These are great for a beginner through intermediate.
It is true they are not as quiet, but I am willing to accept that in exchange for a perfect fit!
07/28/08 by The strong one from San Antonio TX Rating: 3 It's a nice shoe but they are really loud and for me, they broke pretty fast. They are good for beginners but if you're strong, go for Freed Studio shoes, they last longer.
07/14/08 by Anonymous So squeaky!
Rating: 2 They are SO SQUEAKY! Don't buy them. Instead get Grishko's 2007's!
07/13/08 by Jordan from Fresno CA Box is square
Rating: 3 The box is really square and kind of hard to get all the way up onto.
07/02/08 by Lola from Paris Rating: 5 The Bloch Aspirations are the best.
06/27/08 by K.D. from Willimantic, CT last long, good for 1st year/high arches
Rating: 5 I have wider feet with a high arch, so the Bloch Aspiration worked well for me. They dance well anywhere, whether on the marley in my studio, or the wood on my stage. (At home, the only hard surface I have is tile, and I was still able to practice on that). They were my first pair of pointes, and I was pleased with how they performed. Lasted about one dance season and weren't that bad to break-in. My only problems with the shoe were that I have narrow heels, so the backs would often slip and that the they dance quite loud. A good first pair, but I don't plan on purchasing them for my second season.
06/26/08 by Dancr45 from Austin, TX First...
Rating: 5 I've had these pointe shoes for about a year now and they are still great! This year was my first year on pointe and I don't think that I will ever switch shoes! LOVE EM'!
06/21/08 by Ariel from New York Get Noticed
Rating: 2 You will get a lot of attention in these shoes because they are sooo loud! I have been on pointe for a while and I love Bloch shoes, but I have never had a shoe that sounds like an old car door trying to open. They fit perfectly and I really liked them...until I danced in them. Be careful.
06/20/08 by Dancr45 Best
Rating: 5 These were my first pair of pointe shoes. I absolutely love them, and they are so durable, because I have had them for over a year and a half and they are still great!
06/18/08 by Maddy from Grand Rapids, MN Great!
Rating: 5 This was my third pair of pointe shoes ever, and my first two were terrible! I have a high arch so I need a hard, full shank, which is hard to find these days! These shoes lasted me a whole year! I only bought new ones because they were dirty and I needed cleaner ones for a performance. They are very broken in now after 2 years, but still quite useable for me! Would recommend to anyone with a good, high arch, not just beginners, like they say. They have a nice round arch, unlike the photo, and I prefer that compared to the shape of a 3/4 shank. Over all: Still being used by me, and a great shoe for any HIGH ARCHED feet!
06/12/08 by Melanie I Don't love them!
Rating: 3 These were my first pointe shoes 3 years ago. The box was too small. So I got the next size up. After a while( 2 months) the platform's satin shredded. I thought it was weird! I ended up getting the Grishkos and Gaynor Mindens! I personally wouldn't get them!!!
06/06/08 by Kenz First time pointe dancer
Rating: 5 This is my first year on pointe and luckily these were my first shoes! I absolutely love how they shape my already high arch. They broke-in extremely easy and they were so easy to learn beginning stuff. I recommend these for everyone starting out.
05/29/08 by Tall E from Arizona Work w/high arches
Rating: 4 These shoes DO work on people with high arches! An hour and 30 min class breaks them in.
05/29/08 by Tall E from Arizona Great, but check shoes first
Rating: 4 Very good shoes. Great for people with toes the same length. The box doesn't smash your 4th toe. However, Bloch has some quality control issues with these shoes. If you order them, check to make sure the platform is flat first. This is easy to do if you put down a clean pillow case (they are flatter than towels,) and stand on it wearing the shoes. Put one foot en pointe at a time and try rocking it side to side. If it is hard to rock the shoes, your good to go. If the shoes wobble around easily, return them, the platform is misshapen.
The quality control thing can also affect the shank. I got a pair of these once that was much harder than usual, but that is fixable on your own.
05/26/08 by Caitlyn from California Long Lasting
Rating: 4 These shoes are very pretty and flattering. I wear 5B in these shoes so they are good for narrow feet but I know people who wear these who wear a 6D too. These last a long time. I usually get a new pair every 6 weeks but these have lasted for 2 1/2 months. They are also comfy. Great shoe.
05/18/08 by Autumn the unicorn from Sandy, UT Long lasting
Rating: 4 Yes I own this item. It was my first pointe shoe and it is very long lasting wears in easily.
05/11/08 by Evageline from Maryland Excelente
Rating: 5 These shoe are great. They support my feet well. They have an adequate shank. They are well built. They are cheap, but good quality.
04/26/08 by Brittany from California These shoes are pretty good
Rating: 4 I have had this shoe for about 4 months now and I like pretty much everything about them. They are very supportive and help you have great balance. I have VERY strong feet and high arch and they work very well for me. The only thing that I would change is that they were very hard to break-in. They took me about 3 weeks to somewhat break them in. Overall, would be much better for beginners!!!
04/07/08 by Ericka from Lisbon, Maine Awesome
Rating: 5 I have had these shoes for 2 years and they are still in great shape. They last forever! They are great for skinnier feet, with great support. If you are hard on your shoes, you want to put on the mole skin on top. It makes the shoe last about a year longer, 'cause they dont rip at first. I went to get my feet fitted and they were very cheap too, well compared to the other shoes. These are awesome shoes and they work great.
04/06/08 by Caitlyn from California Rating: 4 This is a really nice shoe if you break shanks fast. I usually go through a pair a month and I have had these for a month now and they are still holding up. They bend in the perfect place. They are not too bulky. They are beautiful. These and Grishko 2007 are the shoes I wear. The only problem is that for the first week you have them, they hurt and it is hard to get on the box. But overall, they are a great shoe :D
04/04/08 by Paige Rating: 2 These are my first pair of pointe shoes and in the store I liked them. After wearing them for a few weeks, I still had trouble getting completely on the box and they were very hard to break in. Not good for high arches, but good first shoe
03/15/08 by Viridiana from Sonoma Okay....
Rating: 3 I have a pair of Aspirations and they are pretty flattering, but they do make a ruckus on the dance floor. They are very noisy but that's not exactly the "pointe". They are extremely flattering on my low arches and they last long!
02/22/08 by Pointe-ers AMAZING
Rating: 5 These shoes are great for beginners. I have only been on pointe for a little bit, but I wouldn't choose anything else!!! They are a great box, though I would agree it is a little bit hard to get over!
02/21/08 by Anonymous Not a good first impression...
Rating: 2 I tried these on at the dance store, and as soon as I put these shoes on, I knew that this particular style wouldn't be good for me. It felt extremely uncomfortable just standing flat. I can't even imagine trying to dance in them. BUT I wouldn't say that they are bad for everyone, or that Bloch is a bad brand. I've been wearing Sonatas for months now, and I like them just fine.
02/18/08 by Anonymous from Washington, DC WOW!
Rating: 5 I had been wearing Sonatas for about a year--big mistake! I have pretty wide feet and my arch is basically non-existent, so I had a LOT of trouble getting up on the box and feeling comfortable in my pointe shoes. FINALLY, all my problems are gone! Aspirations are amazing--I will stick with these for a while. The color is pretty, although I do admit my feet do look kind of like...well, blocks. I wasn't expecting much though since my feet are wide anyway. Very happy overall.
02/11/08 by Nicole from Seattle, WA Rating: 3 These were my second pair of pointes, and were extremely hard! I have strong feet, but these were so hard to break-in. They didn't really allow me to get completely over my box, and they hurt my feet too. However, they were supportive. I think they tend to run wide because I got the B width, which is what I normally get in Blochs, and they were waaaaay too wide.
02/11/08 by Anonymous Rating: 5 Good shoe for just about anyone. I work in a dance store and we fit pointe shoes and I always fit them with Aspirations first. They're reliable, sturdy, they last long and an all around good shoe.
02/09/08 by Anonymous Rating: 5 I first started pointe a year ago and these were my first shoes! I loved them so much. They are great for a beginner!
02/06/08 by Amy from Michigan Rating: 1 These shoes were the worst I have ever used. I could not get onto the box at all on the left foot. I have never had a problem before, and have had advanced training. In my opinion, spend the extra 10-15 dollars on a better shoe. They were not good for any level dancer.
02/03/08 by Sierra Couldn't get over
Rating: 2 These were supportive enough, but they were very hard and I couldn't really get over them, even though I have high arches. I usually look for hard shoes, but these just weren't for me. They looked horrible.
01/15/08 by PointePrincess from Tampa, Florida Long Lasting!!
Rating: 5 These were my very first pair of pointe shoes, and they lasted me 3 years! I love these. They were very nice, especially for the price. 10 stars!
01/07/08 by LIbby from Alabama Great so far
Rating: 5 I like this shoe a whole lot! It's so easy to keep my balance and turn. I love the color too--it's just gorgeous! It looks great with Prima Soft 100 tights-- the colors go together perfectly! However, they do take a long time to break- in. I had mine for quite a long time before they really started to conform to my feet. Overall, they're an outstanding price for such a great and gorgeous shoe!
01/02/08 by Veggie from Ontario, Canada Great shoe
Rating: 5 I used to have these, and I loved them, they are great. Bloch is by far my favourite brand, and I recommend these shoes to beginners.
12/25/07 by Anonymous Rating: 5 I used to wear these, till I advanced more and I moved on... I now wear Bloch European Balances, which I love. These were awesome for me though, for 2 years- if you have wide feet, try them!
12/17/07 by danceronpointe from Washington OK at first
Rating: 2 When I first tried these shoes on in the store, I thought they would look nice on my feet. But they put A LOT of pressure on my big toe. In my opinion, DON'T buy these shoes!!!
11/29/07 by Anonymous Rating: 5 I LOVE THESE SHOES! They look really nice on my feet! I have high arches and narrow feet, so it is hard for me to find a well-fitted pointe shoe, but these shoes fit great! The price is also low and affordable. I'm an advanced student and the shoes are not just for beginners. They are a simple shoe, but last a long time, too.
11/18/07 by Cassie from Washington Rating: 1 I have these and they fit at the store but when I went to the studio, they were too small. The hurt so BAD. I would not recommend these shoes and they don't break-in. I hate them!!!
11/13/07 by Rachel from Texas Great shoes!
Rating: 4 These shoes are great! The box is hard and it helps me not roll off to the side (which is the problem I have with my left foot). I am still breaking these shoes in, and they HURT! I used to own a pair of "Plie II" pointe shoes by capezio, and they broke in easily because the box is not hard and supportive like my aspirations. But I know that in time, I will perfectly adjust to them.
11/01/07 by Chelsea from Charlotte, NC Too much pressure...
Rating: 4 These are my first pair of pointe shoes. I love them but after I dance for a while, I find that they put a lot of pressure on my big toe. Does anyone else have this problem? Overall, I recommend them though.
10/24/07 by Haikot from Las Vegas, NV Everything I hoped for!
Rating: 5 These shoes are so great! I just got them and they are amazing! Definitely buy!
09/20/07 by Bri from My dance company Surperb
Rating: 5 I love these shoes. I have had them for like one year (because my foot does not grow). Anyway, they are awesome, you should totally get them.
09/06/07 by Anonymous Yay!
Rating: 5 I've had these shoes and I loved them! Uh-mazing! They last forever. Thanks! <3
08/26/07 by Megan Great!
Rating: 5 My first pair of pointe shoes and I still use them today. Great for beginners!
08/25/07 by Chloe from Baton Rouge, LA I like Them
Rating: 4 These are awesome pointe shoes. They help me stay up on my box since I have only been doing pointe for three months. The only thing I don't like is they feel almost brand new! They are kind of hard to break-in.
07/24/07 by M. M. from California Rating: 3 I don't like these shoes very much. They have been very hard for me to break- in. I've worn them for 4 classes already and they are still like new! Also, they have a pretty high vamp, so if none of your toes are bigger than the big toe, like me, you may have trouble. Hopefully, they will be better once they finally break-in!
07/19/07 by Anonymous Rating: 4 These were my first pair of pointe shoes. And I have to say, they were absolutely AMAZING! They lasted me about 3/4 of a year! I really recommend these shoes to beginners. Also, the price is very reasonable. A few good reasons to buy this shoe!
07/13/07 by I<3ballet Rating: 4 I own these shoes and I have been dancing on pointe for a long time. These shoes are not just for beginners, they are great for everyone!!! They are really hard at first, so you have to have a strong foot. But once you break them in they are great. They mold to my feet very nicely and last me a while. Very good shoes.
07/13/07 by Chloe from Baton Rouge Great
Rating: 5 These are very nice pointe shoes. They help me balance better on the box. They also help with my arch.
07/12/07 by Daiz Perfect for beginners!
Rating: 5 Great beginner pointe shoe! They don't take too long to break-in and form to your feet. The box is a little harder, so you may want a little extra lamb's wool or thicker toe pads, since it's probably a beginner wearing them. Very supportive and stable.
07/09/07 by Sybil Rating: 4 I have been on pointe about four years. I have tried just about every shoe out there, and these are the only ones that don't completely dump me (painfully) out the front. But, they only last me about three classes, and then I have to Jet Glue them to keep them working. Really my only complaint, and that is (I think) specific to my feet.
07/08/07 by Dancing Queen My Fave Pointe Shoes
Rating: 3 I have been dancing on pointe for about three years and have went through almost every brand of shoe including Capezio, Grishko, and Sansha, but I wore through these shoes way too fast. Bloch Aspirations provide a strong shoe that is still comfortable and not impossible to break in. My only problem with these shoes has been me not being able to get over my box, but that may have come from my lack of experience or the early not-broken-in stage of this shoe. With the Bloch Aspirations, dancing en pointe feels as easy and stable as dancing in my flat shoes.
06/25/07 by Korey from South Dakota Different width
Rating: 4 These shoes looked so amazing on me, but the width is different on these shoes than with my Serenades. They were so much wider, I had to use toe pads and stuff the sides with lamb's wool and so I couldn't feel the floor. I don't know why the widths are so much wider with these shoes.
06/09/07 by Anonymous Closest to Perfect
Rating: 5 LOVE these shoes!!! They work really well with my high arches and the box is extremely comfortable. Also, even though I have narrow heels and a wide ball of my foot, the sides don't bag.
05/29/07 by Miranda from Arizona Rating: 1 These were my very first pair of pointe shoes and I really didn't like them. No matter how much I broke them in, they were still very uncomfortable and stiff.
05/03/07 by Eva from Florida GREAT!
Rating: 5 I absolutely love these shoes. They are really great to dance in. Instead of thinking about getting up on the box, I feel like I'm floating around stage effortlessly : ) Great shoes!
04/28/07 by Anonymous from Florida Rating: 5 These shoes are really nice. They were my first pair of pointe shoes, and they worked for me very well. Great for first timers.
04/27/07 by Krissy from Monterey, CA Rating: 5 I had these as my first pair and they are beyond amazing! I love them so much.
04/13/07 by Ballerina from California AWESOME
Rating: 5 I had Sonatas before, so I thought that maybe I was just bad on pointe. But then I tried Aspirations, and I improved a ton! These are my favorite shoes!
04/09/07 by Dancer Rating: 5 I got these for my first pair. I really liked them. I would recommend them to beginners.
03/31/07 by Dancinqueen from Lexington Love them!
Rating: 5 These were my first pointe shoes and they were awesome!I'm going on my second year of pointe and I'm buying these shoes again. They are great for both intermediate and beginners. They lasted me a whole year and they are cheap! It was hard to get all the way on top of my box at first, but when they broke in, it was a lot easier.
03/30/07 by Sarah from Cadillac,MI Best Shoes Ever!
Rating: 5 Yes, I own this pair of pointe shoes. I love these --they fit so well on my feet. They have never caused me any pain or discomfort. There's nothing I don't like about these shoes.
03/29/07 by Megan Somewhat getting used to...
Rating: 3 These were my first pointe shoes, basically because my teacher recommended them. They were hard to get on at first, but once you get them broken in, they are great. But lousy on folks with high arches, like me.
03/11/07 by Shanny from Colorado The best!!!
Rating: 4 I have this for my first pair of pointe shoes and I love them. They are perfect
for beginners. I have only danced on them twice and they are almost all the way broken in, and personally, I think it is easier to dance on broken-in shoes. Great for beginners :)
03/08/07 by Sarah Rating: 3 I'm going on my second year of pointe work, and these are the hardest shoes to get over! In the past, I've had Sanshas and Grishkos, both of which supported my arch better and made my feet look nicer. Also, while I was breaking in one of the shoes, the inner shank split from the out shank! I would recommend these if you tend to push over too far, but would not recommend them to brand new pointe students.
02/21/07 by Randi from Arizona Rating: 5 I think these are really neat pointe shoes! They are 100% good! I love them and they are not expensive at all!
02/21/07 by StepS from Philippines Rating: 5 These pointe shoes were one of my first pairs. I definitely recommend them for beginners. They hurt at first but give excellent support.
02/14/07 by Anonymous Rating: 4 Very hard to break in, and when they do, comfort only lasts for one day. Would recommend for beginners.
02/07/07 by Jessie from Arizona Rating: 5 I'm a beginner going on pointe and as far as I know, these are excellent pointe shoes. I haven't tried too many different kinds, but these are the best of the ones I've tried. They're really pretty too!
01/11/07 by Balletdoll from Alabama Great!
Rating: 4 These were my 3rd pair of pointe shoes, and have been my favorite pair so far. I have had them a little over a year and are just starting to go dead. These are great for beginners, but are pretty good for intermediate also. Plus the price is FANTASTIC!
01/05/07 by Deborah from Victorville CA So nice for starters!
Rating: 5 I got these when I first started pointe. I got to tell you, they are awesome for starters. They are so nice and the shank is just right!
12/02/06 by Former ballerina Great shoe for girls beginning point!
Rating: 5 I am a former professional ballerina and have been frustrated that my daughter who just got on pointe can't get over her shoes. She has strong feet that aren't very flexible. These shoes have been wonderful. She now gets over her shoes and no longer dreads pointe class. They are a bit hard in the box so you might need to add extra lambs wool or put corn cushions where they rub. What a great shoe for beginning pointe!
11/23/06 by Jenavieve AH-MAZING
Rating: 5 My arch always looked good, but in these, it looks really good. And the fit is so well that I don't even need elastic! And my parents love the price:)
11/20/06 by Mac from Oregon First pair, good quality.
Rating: 4 I've had these shoes for a year. They are nice and hold well in the beginning. Now my shoes broke but they are nice for their price.
10/28/06 by Dancer AWESOME!
Rating: 5 I LOVE these shoes. They are so comfortable and last a lot longer than any other shoes I have had.
10/28/06 by Caro BLEGH!!!!!
Rating: 2 These were my second pair of pointe shoes, and so I wasn't too strong. Well, they made my feet look abnormally large and they had a small box that my thin pads could barely fit in. I would not recommend these shoes.
10/24/06 by Ballerinababe Rating: 5 These are awesome. My other ones before made my arch look really bad, but then I tried this one and it was a whole lot better. I love them!!!
09/26/06 by DanceChamp93 from Georgia Great For Beginners
Rating: 4 This is a great pointe shoe if you are just beginning pointe. For my first year of pointe, these shoes were awesome. For your second year of pointe, I do not recommend these. They will slow you down and you will not advance.
09/01/06 by Megan from Oneonta. Pretty Good.
Rating: 4 These where my first pointe shoes and they worked pretty well. They are supportive and are great for beginners. They are also cheap, which is also good too. They do hurt a lot at first though, but are great in recitals.
08/30/06 by Christine from Sierra Foothills, CA I love em!
Rating: 5 When I first started dancing on pointe, I wore Capezio Contemporas. They were wonderful for my wide and strong feet...then I tried on a pair of the Aspirations and have been hooked ever since. They are comfortable from the very first day of putting them on. I do regularly experiment with wearing the newest pointe shoes available but I always keep a pair of Blochs on hand. They are easy to walk in demi pointe and balance on flat, as well as on pointe. I would definitely recommend these shoes to any pointe students!
08/23/06 by Ballerina 4 Him from Alabama Don't hesitate to buy!
Rating: 5 These pointe shoes are remarkable! I wore them in my first year of pointe, and they worked so well with me! They were strong, and didn't go dead fast, and so it helped strengthen my feet. I have never suffered any problems on pointe since then. If you're a beginner, don't hesitate to buy the Bloch Aspirations!
08/18/06 by Anonymous Great shoes for sicklers!!!!!!!
Rating: 5 When I first tried these shoes on in the store, I could not get over them. I have weaker arches so I didn't think this shoe was right, but for the next three days I did a lot of forced arch exercises with them and I was perfectly over them. The really awesome thing about them is that it forces you over your big toe so you don't sickle.
08/10/06 by Madeline from Maine Rating: 5 I've only been doing pointe for a little while, but I think they're really good shoes! They're a beautiful style, and an awesome price. You get what you pay for, and in this case, you got a really good deal!
08/07/06 by Giverny from New York Rating: 4 Whenever I go to buy pointes, I always buy a pair of these as a back-up for the year, in case I leave my other shoes at home or in case my shoes die during class and I need a quick change that doesn't need breaking in. What I usually do though, is break the shank in half and rip out the back half, which is easy to do because they are so soft. Then, all I need is ribbons and I have really good emergency shoes. Only problem I found, is that once these get a good use, they tend to "melt" and they really settle in the demi-pointe area, so it's difficult to articulate the arches in my feet and roll up into pointe. But over-all I really do love Bloch pointes. They are really well constructed and I find them all comfortable. My favorites are the Serene ultra v vamp model, and the Sonatas.
08/07/06 by Beth Rating: 4 These are the great shoes for beginners! They were my first pair of pointe shoes and offered the perfect amount of support. I love Bloch pointe shoes and am currently in the Serenade model which offers more freedom in my dancing. Aspiration by Bloch offer good support and last a long time. I highly recommend these shoes for beginners!
07/19/06 by Colorado Ballet Dancer Perfect for beginners
Rating: 5 When I first started Pointe, I wish I had known about these shoes. I got these my second year and they were very easy to break in. It doesn't take months for them to mold to your foot and the demi pointe is very easy to find. The only thing that was a problem for me, is that the shank broke after forty-five minutes of class. These shoes are clearly for beginners, but are also perfect for people with not much of an arch or weaker feet.
06/22/06 by VV Rating: 5 I love these shoes! They are awesome! The only thing is, it doesn't mold to the foot very well. It is an awesome shoe otherwise and I highly recommend it!
06/15/06 by Anonymous Rating: 5 I like this pointe shoe because it fits my wide feet. Other types make me look bulky. It has a nice supportive box and it is flexible, which accommodates my arch. I'd recommend these to a beginner.
06/13/06 by Anonymous Rating: 5 These are great pointe shoes. Good support, comfortable, wide enough for those of us with wide feet! I especially love their new color, it's much pinker, and prettier.
06/12/06 by luv2dance Rating: 5 These shoes are the best shoes that I have ever worn. I have been dancing on pointe for over 4 years, and these are still my favorite shoes. Even though I have very strong feet, these shoes seem to support me well. The box on most of my shoes break down very easily, but the box on these doesn't break down easily.
06/12/06 by Ballerina818 Rating: 5 I love these pointe shoes. I dance on pointe 6 days a week and they are great and also very comfortable.
06/09/06 by Anonymous Rating: 5 I love these shoes. They fit great, aren't too soft, have a nice high vamp, and make my arch look better even though I don't have the best feet. For dancing on pointe about 3 days a week, they lasted me 1-2 months.
06/08/06 by Emma from Kamuela, HI My first shoes
Rating: 5 I am now on my second pair. They are very comfortable and make my feet look great. I have very narrow feet so sometimes it's hard to find shoes for me.
05/29/06 by Christine Rating: 3 They were good, but I found they broke down too easily. I only had them for a few months, and I danced on pointe 2 times a week, and I already need to buy new ones. But I also have very strong feet, so shoes tend to break in faster for me anyway.
05/27/06 by Olivia the ballerina from Louisiana Rating: 5 These were my first pair. Since I have a very wide and arch-less foot, finding good support can be difficult.
It has been two years since starting pointe and I still get these same shoes.
05/23/06 by Steph from Pennsylvania Rating: 5 This shoe is great. It gave me lots of support as a beginner and broke in nicely. It also fit wonderfully on my very narrow feet.
05/16/06 by Dancer Rating: 5 These shoes are awesome! I just ordered them in March and I am completely happy with my purchase. They "broke in" very easily and are supportive of my feet.
05/16/06 by Former Dancer from Spokane, WA Rating: 5 These are my favorite pointe shoes! They are a lot like Suffolks but cheaper and the shanks last a lot longer. The box is a lot more comfortable to wear even before they are broken in, but they break in easily. The box isn't winged like some shoes, and they last about a month for an advanced dancer.
05/07/06 by caligirl Rating: 5 I really like this shoe because even though I have been dancing on pointe for 5 years, the box still breaks down very easily. This box does not break down at all, and I love these shoes.
05/06/06 by Char Rating: 5 These shoes are really great. They were my first pair. They lasted forever! They did seem just a little hard to break in though. They are very pretty, comfortable shoes- especially good for beginners.
05/06/06 by Zoe from New Hampshire Rating: 5 I've had these since I've started and I think they're the best shoe (for my feet that is). They die pretty fast but right before they do, they're amazing!!!
04/29/06 by Anonymous Rating: 4 For the most part I liked the shoe. But there's a few things that I did not like. For example, the box just didn't feel right. But other than that I loved the shoe.
04/27/06 by Anonymous Rating: 4 I like them but I have a strong metatarsal, which causes my shoes to bubble at the demi point spot when I releve. And that makes it hard to mount (when they start to break down) but besides that they are good shoes.
04/23/06 by Meredith from Texas Rating: 5 I think this is the ideal shoe for the average beginner. It breaks in easily and supports your foot nicely. It is also a great price.
04/12/06 by student who dreams of ABT Good for pointe newbies
Rating: 4 My first shoe, and I think it's good for a first shoe too. It was great because it worked my feet to build strength but didn't make me feel like I was fighting it. Plus, it's so cheap, so ideal if you're in a growth spurt age. But once I got mildly strong feet, it didn't suit me anymore.
04/11/06 by Anonymous Rating: 3 The shoes broke down and allowed me to balance too far on the front of my box.
04/11/06 by Stephanie from Utah Rating: 5 Excellent beginner's shoe-great value for price.
04/11/06 by Anonymous Rating: 5 Excellent beginner's shoe!
04/09/06 by Carly from Pennsylvania Rating: 4 It breaks in easily, and the three quarter flex prevents sinking.
