The Best Ever!
Rating: 5
I just got done with 3 years of pointe and I have used the same pair that I bought when I first started. They can be a little tight but when you break in your shoes, they are the best to have. I can feel the floor fine and I never complain about pain because there is none. These are the best in the world of dancing!!!

I have been on pointe for a year now, and had Ouch Pouch jr.(recomended) Ouch pouch jr. are horrible! They ripped within the first month I was on pointe. These feel great and are very comfortable. If people say it burns, it's supposed too. Every toepad you use is going to make your feet burn. I am the strongest in my class(my instructor told me), and it's good on strong feet. You can balance on them so easily. They do get a bit sweaty, but you never slip. These rock!

Very Nice
Rating: 5
I've had these for a while now, and they are amazing! I was to the point where I wanted to quit doing pointe, I was getting monster blisters, and had to tape my feet and stuff my shoes with cotton and wear 2 lambs wool pads at one time. Then I got these and they make the pain go away. The first few times, my toes did go numb and feel like they were "on fire" but once you get used to them that goes away. They also didn't change my width or size. My shoes actually fit better with these. A must have for any point dancer.

Good for beginners
Rating: 4
A few years ago when I started pointe, we were required to wear these with our Capezio pointe shoes. Since then I have adjusted to different shoes and pads. These were becoming too bulky, and impossible to feel the floor, once I advanced and passed the critical learning period. I recommend these for beginners, but eventually you'll have to get some thinner ones.

I have these toe pads and I don't like them at all. I dance en pointe about 6 days a week and need the best toe pads possible. These make it difficult to get up on my platform, something I NEVER have trouble with. As a student, I need to be able to do my best and these don't help. I can't feel the floor and they are too big/thick. I am doing nutcracker rehearsals with the company and wear my shoes for multiple hours a day. I like Ouch Pouches and will try the Bloch ones. These are not worth the money you spend to get them. They also fall apart after a little while, and I only wore these a few times. They cause the area around my big toe to swell and become sore. Don't bother.

Wonderful!

I just received these toe pads in the mail, and I immediately tried them on with my pointe shoes. I had the ouch pouch jr toe pads before. I figured that this toe pad would be thicker, so I thought I'd have to get new pointe shoes. That was not the case. They still fit, although they're a little tight in the back. I definitely recommend these toe pads to anyone. I can still feel the floor. Some people say that your toes feel numb and hurt more with these gel toe pads. For me, the only time they're numb is when I'm sitting around doing nothing. I'm positive I'll be able to make it through the whole class without wanting to cut my feet/toes off.

NOT..for beginners (or anyone)
Rating: 1
Personally, I don't like these. They squeeze your feet and make them numb!!!They are too padded and you can't feel the floor. I wouldn't recommend these for beginners because when you first start pointe you need to build up your feet and be able to feel the floor. I recommend ouch pouches. They are great for beginners! I started out with them and still use them!

Good, but I want a different type!!!
Rating: 5
I've had mine for about a year. I'm new en pointe, but these have worked so far on this new pointe student! One person said that it's not good for if you take pointe classes lots, but I went to Alabama Ballet, where we were dancing on pointe for more than 3 hours daily for 3 weeks straight, and I didn't have ANY problems. But I would also like to try a different kind! Any advice?

I love these sooo much! They are really comfy, and I have gotten zero blisters with them. They won't smell if you put talcum powder on them.

These toepads are great because they cushion my foot very well. I have to wear them over my tights or else they become sweaty and slippery. But other than that, they're perfect.

Comfort, but no feel..
Rating: 3
I've had thick toe pads like this in the past, and they definitely made my shoes more comfortable...only I couldn't feel the floor at all. For people who complain about their gel pads making their feet sweat: coat the insides of your toe pads with baby powder before you put them on - it helps to reduce the sweatiness and you won't slip around in them.

07/05/08 by Meggie from California
Ok
Rating: 3
They are really soft, but are too short and get really sweaty, then start to slip. As a dancer who dances more than an hour on pointe each weekday, I can't keep taking the pointe shoes off every 1/2 hour to fix them.

Way too Thick

These were terrible. There's way too much gel, making it nearly impossible to feel the floor.

Rating: 5
I have used these toe pads ever since I started pointe. To me, they are most comfortable if you wear them on the outside of your tights. My only problem with them is that they get sweaty after a while and my feet start slipping around. Other than that, they are excellent!

It's OK
Rating: 3
I have very different toes compared to my classmates at ballet. My feet are narrow and tapered, and my toes are long and curved (my knuckles stick out, even when I'm not in ballet. Like when I'm just simply standing, my toes curl). So I tried these. They were too short for my toes, and I felt pain that distracted me. The good part is I didn't feel that "numbness" that everyone's complaining about, and I felt the floor quite well. They were OK. I might not buy these again, but I didn't dislike them either.

05/29/08 by Anonymous
Not the best
Rating: 2
I had these for a while now, and I think I'm gonna switch. These are too short around the toes, causing discomfort. It also causes your toes to go numb sometimes, once you are dancing for 20 minutes. I got another pointe shoe, and it was a little better, but it still causes too much numbness. Good luck if you're going to give it a go!

Very thick, makes feet sweat, can't feel the floor. They came free w/ shoes. Next time they can just keep them and discount my favorite pointe shoes.

These make your feet sweat like a ton, even with your tights on the inside. If you dance a lot on pointe, I strongly don't suggest these
but if you only dance for a short amount of time and are really looking for comfort, these may be for you.

These pads really do take away a lot of the pain on pointe. Rather than having gel tips and paper towels. But these make your feet go completely numb, that your feet start to hurt. But when you first put this on, your big toe hurts a little. But other than that they are pretty good. I still prefer Skinny Dips. LOVE EM <3

Before I got these Leo's pink toe pads, I put all kinds of sponges into my pointe shoes and my fingers kept hurting, and I have a problem with nails, which became invisible with Leo's toe pads! I feel like I'm flying and I don't feel any pain :)

I am not crazy about dance, but I like to experiment with pads. These were okay the first and second, but then they started hurting my bunions real bad! They are also so thick that they made my Chacotts collaps almost completely. They take up way too much room!!!

I got these with my first pair of pointe shoes, Capezio Glisse Pros (which I also didn't like.) They were way too thick and even just through warm-ups, my toes would go numb. And I prefer less padding while some prefer more, so if you are like me and don't like padding, don't get these. I prefer skinny dips or gellows. Ouch Pouches are good too.

Cindy from District of Columbia was TOTALLY WRONG! Ouch Pouches STINK! They were the worst toe pads I have EVER bought in my entire life. They were a complete waste of money. These are the best toe pads ever. I LOVE them! I feel like I WANT to do pointe in them. With Ouch Pouches, I hated pointe. These toe pads ROCK!

Rating: 1
I thought the whole point of toe pads was to cushion your toes, not make them hurt worse! These squeeze your feet and take up tons of room. Plus, you can't feel the floor or tell if you're over your box. They're absolutely awful even when you're not on pointe. I would try Ouch Pouches.

Only I have ever used
Rating: 4
I don't really know if there are any toe pads better than these, because I have never used anything other than these. They work for me though! My toes never hurt! Everyone in my class has these toe pads! The thing is that I payed $22 for them at my dance studio because the only other choice was the lamb's wool, which seemed painful. So they may seem expensive, but compare them to what I had to pay! Overall, they are comfortable but they smell bad and may stick to your feet after practice! This is gross but- they don't absorb sweat and they get pretty wet!

06/16/07 by Angry Dancer! from Missouri
Could definitely be much better
Rating: 2
Well, I was VERY appreciative of them when I first started pointe. They do make your feet feel good when you're only on them for like 5 minutes. However, after warm-ups, my feet are already screaming. My toes go numb, I can't feel the floor, and the rest of my feet get this weird burning sensation, whether I'm dancing or not. I cannot get over my box in these, they are much too thick. And no, ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL!!!

05/24/07 by Anonymous
Rating: 3
I bought these after trying Bunhead's Ouch Pouch. At first I liked them for the cushioning, but now after about 6 months, they cause my toes to go numb in 10 minutes, even if I'm not dancing. They also cause a burning sensation in my toes and on the bottom of my feet.
Another girl at my studio has these and also has similar problems.

The Greatest Shoes Ever
Rating: 5
I absolutely LOVE these pads. They are especially great if you need more padding. Ouch Pouches are okay, but to me, they're too thin and my feet still feel like I'm not wearing pads at all. These pads don't slip on your feet, and they can stretch to fit better. In addition, they have padding in the places where it's needed, and they're still thin enough to feel the floor. They are really worth the money!

The Worst
Rating: 1
These are terrible. I first got them because I thought that they would be more comfortable. I was wrong. After 5 minutes en pointe, your feet turn completely numb. I almost thought of quitting pointe, it hurt so bad. They also make your shoes stretch, so I when I used thinner toe pads, my shoes were baggy. I recommend Gellows half gel, half sock. Gellows make pointe painless.

I hate these so much, my toes become completely numb within 5 minutes! I do not recommend these 2 ANYBODY. If you are a first year on pointe, get the Ouch Pouch Jr. They will help you learn to get up on your box more.

Worth the Money
Rating: 4
These are worth the money. They're comfortable and they don't move around on me. Even though they say they're odor-free, they're not. I keep them in a Tupperware container, and it smells pretty bad. But, make sure to use talcum powder, things don't go well if you don't.

03/04/07 by Michaela from Connecticut
Rating: 1
I hate these! They made it practically impossible to dance! Also, when my feet got sweaty, they moved around so the thin part was on my toes and the thick was on the bottom of my foot. I would slip and twist my ankle all the time! Whatever you do, don't buy these! I recommend the Bunhead Ouch Pouches instead.

Not the best
Rating: 3
Now that I've tried these pads, I can agree with others. They have too much padding, making my toes go numb and my shoe to fit uncomfortably. They squish my toes together making pointe more painful than before. I got them with my new shoes and went back to my old Ouch Pouches Jr. after a couple weeks on them.

02/06/07 by Anna Lyn from Connecticut
Rating: 5
I received these pointe shoes for Christmas and pointe has gotten so much easier! These pads are wonderful, you can still feel the floor, and the comfort level is off the charts! I would recommend these to any dancer who wants to cut back on the amount of blisters and bleeding pointe causes. I have a 3 hour pointe class 4 times a week and there is still no odor on these things! Please try them, you WILL love them!

Love these
Rating: 5
I started off with lambswool and used it for about a year, until my friend told me about these toe pads. They do get sticky sometimes and maybe some people think they're too thick, but I'd rather be concentrating on dancing than how much my toes are hurting with lambswool or a thinner toe pad. They're very comfortable and have greatly increased my balancing ability. I will use these forever.

I agree with everyone that said their toes got numb. These are my first toe pads and they cushion my feet too much. I think I might try Ouch Pouches next. Word of advice though, to anyone who might want to get these: try them on WITH your pointe shoes before you buy! I had to go a size up in shoes (Bloch Signature Rehearsals) for these to fit.

OMG
Rating: 5
I love these!!! Lambs wool hurts, so I need to use gel so that my feet don't get all beaten up in my pointe shoes. I got those blue toepads, and then my feet didn't fit in my shoes! I HATE those toepads. But then I still needed gel, because my feet like those kind, and otherwise I would have to use lambswool. So these are perfect because they fit in my shoes. They're so super comfy and it feels like you're not even wearing shoes! But it kinda hurts when you take them off. Sometimes they stick to my feet, it's really weird. But anyways, I love these pads! and they dont rip either. Thats a two thumbs up.

The best pad ever !!!
Rating: 5
This was the best experience I had on pointe. I take 3 one hour classes of pointe in a row, 4 days a week and these pads lasted me about 4 months. I know this doesn't sound like much but for how much I used them per month in classes and practice I used them A LOT!!!
I was really satisfied

If you need this much padding...
Rating: 2
If you need this much padding, get a different shoe! No truly well fit pointe shoe will cause you so much pain that you need stay-puff marshmallow pads like these. In the class I teach, I've seen numerous girls try these (complaining all the while about how sticky they are and how numb they make the toes feel). Yet when I re-fit them for pointe shoes, they wind up needing a completely different shoe than what they were wearing. And they suddenly no longer require these big bulky pads for pointe to be semi-comfortable(most switch to Ouch Pouches or Bunheads Big Tips, which are much thinner). A truly well fit shoe requires minimal, if any, padding...even for only intermediate level dancers.

Can't feel the floor
Rating: 2
Unless you have no desire to feel the floor AT ALL (why would you want that?), and have purchased a shoe two sizes too big (why would you do that?), these are WAY too thick. I think the company is including them free because they're trying to get rid of them.

10/21/06 by Anonymous
Rating: 2
Do not buy these if are a beginning dancer! Start with Ouch Pouches(even though I HATE them) until you are en pointe for over an hour regularly. You have to toughen up your feet, pointe will never be painless.

10/18/06 by Lauren from Illinois
I like them.
Rating: 4
I use these toe pads, and I really like them. They protect your toes well and I can still feel the floor with them on. Just make sure to try your pointe shoes on WITH them because they do take up a bit of space.

The perfect gel toe pad
Rating: 5

My Favorites
Rating: 5
I like these pads a lot. I started out with another brand and didn't like how the gel was the same thickness at all parts of the pad. This one has more padding where you need it and less where you don't. They do get a little sticky, but shaking some baby powder on them makes them like new. Sometimes I need to use some tape to hold them in place on my wide feet, but they are definitely a great choice!

08/23/06 by Anna from Denver, CO
Best toe pads ever, goodbye blisters!
Rating: 5
I tried the typical starter lambs wool pads for a long time, but kept getting blisters on top of callouses and it was no fun. I hated pointe, I could never dance for more than 15 minutes without my feet crying out in pain. I finally tried these, and they are amazing.....they did take a few weeks to get used to as the floor is harder to feel, but now I'm used to them and I love them. My toes are quite damp after a class, but I'd rather it be sweat than blood. Something I've done to solve the slippery problem--I wear my pads over my tights, and then I cut the toes of an old pair of my mom's nylons and I slip those on so that they're between the pad and the shoe. It makes it easy to slide my foot in my shoe, and my toes don't get sticky by the end of class.

Rating: 4
I have these, and they are wearing out after 2 years of use. They are really thick, and pink ends up sticking up out of the top of my shoe. I can barely feel the floor. They are really hard to get in my shoe cause they get all sticky.

I don't like these!!!!!
Rating: 1
I saw these on their web site and I bought them after being on pointe for about 4 years. I couldn't feel my toes after about 10 minutes and plus my pointe shoe that fit me perfectly wouldn't go on my foot!! I would not buy this product again!

08/08/06 by Kacy from Fort Wayne, IN
VERY VERY thick!!!!!
Rating: 1
I saw these toe pads and I bought them because I thought they would work. I wouldn't buy this product again!! Once I put the toe pads on, I tried to put my pointe shoes on. My shoes didn't go on my feet. They say,"they are non-sticky toe pads" I think they are the stickiest things ever! And they are so thick you probably have to buy a whole pointe shoe size bigger, just to fit both those and your pointe shoe on your foot!

07/28/06 by Anonymous from Webster, TX
Rating: 5
I got these pads about a year ago, and they still work great, they don't smell. But I don't wear them often, just because they are VERY thick, and it is tough to feel the floor. But if your toes are tapered and you tend to put all the weight on your big toe, these offer a lot of relief, but I wouldn't recommend them if you have large or wide feet. I wear a street shoe 7 and have skinny feet, and they are a tight squeeze!!!

07/18/06 by Christie from Miami, FL
Rating: 4
They are thick so take them to your pointe shoe fitting. They do not let you feel the floor correctly, but the plus side is that for days when you have some blisters, or your feet are tired and achy, these are great. They're also great if you feel a lot of pressure at the very tip of your big toe, like I often do...they totally alleviate that. Overall, pretty good and totally odor free.

Rating: 3
If you want something thick, but not as thick as Eurotard, I would recommend these. They are a pretty color, but they are too thick in the toe area, and thin and not durable right in the ball of the foot area.

06/09/06 by Anonymous
Rating: 3
Very good and comfy, although I couldn't feel the floor well. They also don't stay on all that great, so if you have long toes (like me) don't get them. They pretty much screwed up my dancing, since they didn't stay in place at all, kept trying to slide off my outer toes and didn't cover enough of the balls of my feet.

Too Thick
Rating: 2
I wouldn't recommend these. They are difficult to squeeze into pointe shoes and they made my feet go numb, making it so I couldn't pointe my feet properly.

06/04/06 by Layla
Not good for those that have sweaty feet
Rating: 3
I borrowed a pair of these once from a classmate. Even though our pointe class that day was fairly short, my feet were drenched in sweat because these pads don't breath! Even though they were quite comfortable and protected my toes well, I think I'll stick to my good old wool toe pads.

06/04/06 by Anonymous
Not that great
Rating: 2
I tried these toe pads after being on pointe for about 3 years. They were so thick that they made my toes go numb and tingly after about 15 minutes. Then class became sort of pointless because I couldn't feel the floor at all. These really hindered me from learning how to turn as well.

05/31/06 by Bethany from Texas
FANTASTIC
Rating: 5
For dancers beginning on pointe, I think that these are fantastic. They make going up on pointe not hurt at all. Although, after I got these gel pads, my shoes were a tad bit too small in the toe area. But compared to the pain going up on pointe without these, it's worth it. All in all, these are great! Especially for beginners on pointe!!

05/22/06 by Lacey
I like them but......
Rating: 4
I like these toe pads, but a lot of people I know have hated them.

PROS- Don't get smelly, dry very quickly, thick enough so you don't have to tape toes which saves time.

CONS- many people I know tried them and thought they were too thick, because they're thick you may have to go up a size in shoes, after a few months they rip and sometimes so they are aren't use-able, after several hours they get slippery and slide around ***(this can easily be fixed by putting paper towels or a thin cloth between your feet and the toe pad).

To me the comfort and non-smelliness are enough to put up with the all the cons.
For the people who are worried about the thickness of them, I think they have a "pro" version that is thinner, so you might give those a try.

05/22/06 by Kayla from Ohio
Very comfortable
Rating: 5
I started with Bunheads Ouch Pouch and they weren't the right size for my toes and they weren't very comfortable. But these give you full coverage, and I have Greek feet, which leaves a lot of pressure on my second toe. These give me just enough padding to keep me comfortable. But I cannot feel the floor very well but, they are very comfortable, durable and non-sticky!

05/07/06 by Anonymous
Rating: 3
I've been on pointe for about a year and a half so I'm still learning, I had a hard time going up on full pointe with these. I couldn't feel the floor so I kept rolling out to the side. They also made my shoe way too small causing all my toes to go numb after I got off pointe. Ouch Pouches are way better.

Great toe pads
Rating: 5
These are my 4th kind of toe pads I've tried and I think they're great! They feel extremely comfortable and give you the perfect amount of padding (especially if you're rough on your pointe shoes like me and break shoes easily). My only complaint is that my feet sweat a lot and they slip off the outer half of my toes, so when I take them off after many rehearsals, find tons of blisters. I also wouldn't recommend them to dancers new to pointe, but after a few years BUY THEM!! They're great!

04/22/06 by Anonymous
Okay
Rating: 3
I would not recommend these for an inexperienced dancer. You cannot feel the floor and your toes are pretty uncomfortable in them, even if they do provide padding. I would like them more if I could wear them over my tights but they are so thick, that I have to wear them under which causes my feet to get very icky and sweatier than usual. Plus, they make them very numb.

These are by far my favorite toe pads that I have tried, in my ten years of dancing en pointe. They are comfortable and durable. I started on lamb's wool and have since used the Danztech gel pads, the Eurotard ultra lights (clear), the Eurotard pointe comforts (blue), & the Capezio foam pads. The Leo pads ARE very thick, so I would not recommend them for new or less experienced pointe dancers, as they will not be able to feel the floor very well. Only older, experienced dancers, that want comfort, should use these.

Toes'll feel cushion, but nothing else
Rating: 3
They are so ridiculously thick, that not only can you not feel the floor beneath your toes...they may change the fit of your shoes to the point of needing to go up a half-size in both width and length. If you've been curious to try them, better do it at a fitting just in case.
